Wild hogs! :)

Yesterday Don had an itch to be spontaneous..... we had no kids with us for the weekend, so he decided we'd rent a motorcycle and go cruise around on it all day. It was so fun! I was kind of hesitant at first, but I had a blast. The bike we rented was a BMW something or other, don't ask me! :) We met up with my mom and her husband and they went with us on their bike. We road about two hours up to Sandpoint, ID and had lunch and walked around all the fun shops. It was a beautiful day! Our bottoms were pretty sore by the end of the day, but it was worth the fun and the thrill. I LOVE doing these fun and spontaneous things with him. I feel incredibly blessed to have this man and this life!

Stealing Angels...baby!

My mom, sister and I went to a "low dough" show last night for Stealing Angels. We asked ahead of time about Jessica being able to bring her baby in because it was at a venue that was 21 and up. Well, about 30 minutes after we got there, before the show started, someone came up and said he was so sorry, but actually she couldn't be there. So we had to leave. As we were standing getting our money back, I just said... So, can we meet them since we can't stay and watch? So my good friend Bob,  from the radio station I used to work for came out and took up back stage! It was so fun.. they just went crazy over baby Anestynn! They were so sweet. They even sang us a little song. They are a new and upcoming Country group. They were the sweetest girls! We had fun hanging out and visiting with them.

Family Fun

We've had some fun this summer!
We took the kids to Silverwood and played at the water park for the 4th of July. It was a beautiful day. We all had a really good time.

My grandma and cousin came into town...

 Cousins.. Lainey and Tigue
Don's family reunion... a few cousins and their great grandma
This is my yummy chocolate dipped fruit and oreos. We dipped peaches, pineapple, strawberries (from our own garden) and pears. Don was SO much fun to do this with!!! He got the blow dryer out and dryed the fruit while I dipped, then he helped me drizzle the white chocolate over them. It was a fun project together and a hit at the party. The peaches  and pineapple were my favorite!

Yes... I CAN bake!

Me opening some gifts.... the kids and Don threw me a little party on my birthday, then we had a family one that weekend.
The picture isn't that great... but this was my birthday cake I made myself ( I mean Don). Carrot cake is his favorite. I made this for the little party we had for my birthday, I figure this is good progress, last year I went golfing with him for my birthday and this year I got to make my own cake (his favorite). Atleast this year I enjoyed it! I am NOT a golfer! But, I CAN bake! I was proud of it, it was beautiful and tasted delicious!

Grandma and I at the Spokane Temple

Today I was able to go to the temple with my grandma who is in town visiting from the Vegas area. It was a neat experience to go with her. She was like 85 I think before she took out her own endowments. It was emotional for me to watch her get teared up and cry throughout the session. We enjoyed being together. After, I took her and my cousin, whos's also here,  he's her road trip buddy, out to my place and Cortney and I made them lunch. We had a nice time visiting and spending time together. I love having family close by like I do and wish I could see those who are further away more often. It was a  good day.

BFF's

Well, tomorrow is my birthday and as with every year, my best friend Cortney and I are the same age for 6 days. We thought we should celebrate especially this year, on our last day of being the same age, because we are both 30. We went to Applebee's and ate (WAY TOO MUCH) and talked some good talk with Don. I sat there thinking as he talked to her how lucky I am to have the two best friends in this world. Cortney is the most amazing woman! I don't know how she does all she does and manages to keep up with being the best friend that she is, and not just to me, everyone loves her. I am a better person because I know her and I learn from her. I also am blessed to have the most amazing and wonderful husband in this world... sorry, he's not pictured here. :) Some years as your birthday comes you think of the things you were most thankful for that year, but I am not thinking that way this year. I have been thankful every year since I was 11 and every year from now through eternity for the two best friends in the world. I could not be more lucky! I love you both! (ps Corkyjo... BFFE YCLM)

Don't text while driving!

So,Don had his third accident in 6 months on Friday! He's ok.. nobody was hurt. He rearended an 89 year old lady from Moses Lake on his way to work. (If only I had let him get out of the house earlier!) About halfway through the day I got a text message from him with a picture of what used to be the front end of his NEW car. It's pretty crunched to say the least. When I asked him what happened and who's fault it was he said..." It's her fault! She should have known I was texting and not to stop right infront of me when I am not paying attention!" He was embarressed and annoyed at himself for being careless. It's taught me a lesson to stop being that way when I drive as well, he's lucky it was just a fender bender, I'm sure much worse could have and does happen when people are playing with or talking on their phones. So, word to the wise, put the phone down and drive. You never know if the old lady in front of you if paying attention to the fact that you aren't!

ps... I tried to load a picture, but it won't load. Sorry.
