Updates updates updates

I have been a bit behind on my updates! Enjoy the next 5 or 6 posts with things
that have been going on the past few months. Make sure you check out one of my
first posts with our family pictures, I finally have them on here!

Melissa and Glenns Wedding.. and a mini reunion

My cousin Melissa got married on June 9 in Pendleton OR. Don and I went down for the wedding along with all my siblings, except Josh who is overseas still. Here is Grandma just arriving at the church with Allison, Melissas younger sister and the maid of honor. Grandma amazes me! She is 93 and still traveling all the time!!

Melissa trying to get some last minute touches done on her hair. She looked so beautiful!

Grandma came in the bride room and gave Melissa her "something blue", a beautiful little bracelet.
Allisons little girl Faith was the flower girl, she was so beautiful

 Here comes the Bride

They were really sweet together. I think during the above picture I was singing a song for them. They had just done their unity sand and were waiting for the song to finish. I sang "I will be here" by Stephen Curtis Chapman. It was an honor to be asked and my aunt told me afterwards that it made the whole ceremony come together, which was such a compliment. I even had a lady in their church ask me the next day if I would come sing at her wedding at the end of the summer!
 The first kiss
This is Allisons little by Gage, he was sitting with his grandparents watching his mom up on the stage. At one point he was waving at her, it was pretty cute. He's a doll!

McCall and Cameron came with us and Jessicas step daughter Chandra came with her, they were the designated babysitters during the wedding and reception. They are holding Lexie, and Regan as cute as ever on a little horse! I love that girl!

And.... On to the reunion portion of the post....

So all of us siblings were together for the last time in who knows how long! Jeremy is moving the Luxemburg!! It's like this whole other country!! :) Hes going over for 3-5 years with Amazon.
The boys thought it was all about them.... this picture proves that!

Above is mom with both her parents and all but one of our siblings. This was I think the second time in my adult life that I have seen my moms dad. It was really special that they were both there. Below is Melissa with her cousins and sister. Kaylee on the end did Melissas hair for her.

Aunt Sara and Regan. She loves me best!! It was so good to see her. She kept asking me to come home with her when we were all saying goodbye. She is just such a sweetie!!

Me and Jen and Lexie who is about 7 months old. SO CUTE!!

I have no idea.... Jeremy and Jeff hijacked my camera for a while. I also ended up with pictures of half eaten plates of food and the mens restroom door. :)
Lucky for him, I still love him. This photo represents about 50% of his personality!
Ok, so Regan is the biggest HAM there is! She can't help but shake her little body when she hears music. She was immediately out on the dance floor when the music started. She's dancing with Faith and Gage in the picture above. And proves she can hold her own on her own in the one below!
Shakin' her groove thang!!

Me and my baby.
Matt, Jen and their baby.

And finally it was time to say goodbye. This is me with Uncle Phil and Aunt Maria who is my moms younger sister and my three cousins. Matt, Allison and Melissa. It was the most fun weekend! I really enjoyed spending time with everyone and seeing family from all over. And such an honor to sing in Melissas wedding. Don and I really had a great time and can't wait to spend more time with them.

Parker Turns 18

So Parker turned 18 and we planned a big surprise party for him. Don spent all day working on the yard and back patio area for a big BBQ, it looked amazing... an hour before people were going to arrive it started to RAIN!!! It was so wet. So we moved everything in doors. Don used the grill right outside the basement door and we brought all the food in. Parker was surprised! It was a big hit, lots of friends came over for it.

Thumbs up for a good surprise!

There is really nothing quit like watching a group of teenage boys eat!!! Of course I get to see that every night at dinner!
The boys just hangin' out. I am sure Don is giving Parker some words of
wisdom now that he's an "adult".

I think Easton snapped this one.

There were some fun games going on... Like battle ping pong. I am not sure what the point was, but you hit a ball and then rotated and tried to hit the ball before it hit the ground and if you didn't then the person who hit it got to hit a ball at you. There were some red marks all over the boys by the end of it. The girls got them good!
Landon and his friend Kaden snuck away up stairs and had a little jam session.

Mommy and Jaxon 4th Grade Field Trip

Jaxons class had a field trip to the Museum of Arts and Culture. I got to go with him, on the bus and all! OH MAN I do not know how my mom did that for so many years. The kids were so loud and hyper! It was actually the entire 4th grade.

The exhibit on display was all about DIRT. Every kind of dirt and soil and every fact about all of it you could possibly think of! The above picture is of all the kids painting with dirt. They also had some worksheets that they had to fill out by going to each station of the exhibit and getting information. Jaxon and his friend Hunter were doing it together.

They also got to play in some soil. There were all kinds of creeping things in it!

It was a fun day.

Mothers Day 2012

The school did a Donuts with Moms morning before school just before Mothers Day weekend. The 1st-3rd graders did a cute little dance for everyone. Jaxon did a dance for the Dad and Donuts day that Don took him too. It was a fun little morning.

Yea, these aren't my families greatest pictures ever, but hey it's real life right? Don and the kids took me to a big nursery to pick out some flowers for some pots and for the yard. Parker picked the biggest one that he's holding, its really pretty and it gets to stay in the house.
I have NO idea what I am doing with my hand. I think I must have been blocking the sun, either way it looks totally silly! The sun was super bright and we were  looking right into it. Thank the photographer for that! :) It was a good day. Before we left the kids helped SO much working around the house and yard. I was really impressed with how well they all worked and how much we got done... on a side note, this was also the day we lost our kitty Lilly. RIP kitty cat.

5th Annual Girls Weekend Bend, OR

This year our trip was in Bend, OR. Sarah and I flew into Portland where Stephanie lives and started our trip there. First stop was the Portland Temple. We have talked about going to the temple together for a few years now and finally made it happen this trip. We had a long drive the first night to Bend so we were a bit short on time and so we did Inititories and then sat in the BEAUTIFUL Celestial room. It was a neat experience and really nice to be there with the girls. This picture below is inside the middle of the temple in a courtyard area. It was beautiful.
This one is outside the temple. The weather was beautiful, but totally deceiving! On our way up to Bend it SNOWED!! It was crazy, it made Stephanie a bit nervous driving in the dark. It was snowing pretty hard for a while. We still managed to make good time.
This is the house we rented. It was just outside Bend in Sunriver, which we didn't explore too much but the one night we were there looking for a grocery store it looked really fun. It would have been fun if the weather were nicer to have gone around on some of the trails they had there.
Our top priority on our girls weekends is always pedicures!! We had a good time there, the people were super nice. We all went a little out of the box and got different colors than we would normally do. I don't know how we managed to only get a picture of mine and Steph's because I liked Sarah's the best!

A big attraction in Bend is the candy shop.... Goodys.  We stopped at about 4 of them I think while we were there. It was SO GOOD!! This is at the actual factory. We did a short little tour and watched some of the candy makers do their magic.

 These were cute :)

Sarah is really good at
 capturing the moment!

Beautiful Sarah

They had really good home made ice cream. They had different flavors all the time, I think I had Cookies n' Cream and Butter Finger. It was the creamiest ice cream!! We also got LOTS of candy! My favorite was the salted caramels. MMMM!! They also did fresh made caramel corn. We may have gotten a bunch of that as well. :) Each of us grabbed some for our kiddos at home too and had them wrap them all cute for them. I got the kids some lego shaped candy that actually snapped together. Easton loved them. It was definitely one of my favorite places on the trip!

Of course what is a girls weekend with our SHOPPING!!?? There was lots of that in Bend. This was at the Factory Outlets. Nike had a HUGE sale!

We also hit up the Maurices store and Sarah's favorite, the Black White store. I think she would love it if I mentioned that she is only in workout clothing because while Sarah and I were at a home store she went to the local Cross Fit and worked out with them. She is a very dedicated Cross Fit PRO!! She did change shortly after these photos were taken and looked beautiful. :)

We ate at some yummy places... the best was actually this amazing donut shop, but we didn't get pictures, probably to keep from having evidence of the awful pigs we were!!! OH WE ATE BADLY this trip!! The top picture was at a Mongolian place and the lower is at the Pine Tavern, there were two huge Pine Tress right in the center of the restaurant. It was yummy and our waitress was great, she hooked us up with a box of the yummy sweet rolls they had there.
Sunday we visited the local ward in Bend. It was neat in Relief Society reciting the YW motto with the Young Women who were in visiting RS. I got all emotional (what else is new??) standing there saying it next to my two dear girls who I learned that theme with. The spirit really touched me. I am very thankful for these two girls in my life and the memories we have shared and the strength I get from them.

Sunday afternoon walk. It felt so good to get outside!!
So our last day on our way back to Portland we stopped at this Lava Forest National Park. We were able to walk up around the rim of the volcano and look out at this amazing view of all this hardened lava from hundreds of years ago.

Alvin, Simon and Theodore were all there. :)

                      Beautiful Views!!!

Sarah... takingpictures I don't know about!!

This is it... our last stop and last photo before saying "Good Bye" til next year!!! Next year we are hoping to be in Hawaii all together, with our Husbands for Don and I's sealing in the Laie Hawaii Temple.... if that doesn't work out for everyone we have talked about going to Victoria British Columbia with our hubbies as well......Until next year!!!
